Regular Season Round 20: Tygri Brno - Opava 70-69

Tygri Brno can celebrate finally their first win this season after 17 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Opava (8-10) 70-69 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Jiri Radous who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds and Filip Strouhal who added 10 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Four Tygri Brno players scored in double figures. Forward Vojtech Gronsky (192-2009) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Vaclav Warisch (-2007) scored 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Tygri Brno maintains twelfth position with 1-17 record. Loser Opava dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Tygri Brno will meet higher ranked USK Praha (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Opava will play against Sokol Prazsky (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
